Marc Alexander (Co-Treasurer / Membership Duties) 

Tell us a bit about yourself:

Hi everyone, I’m in the role of Co-Treasurer/Membership Duties and am currently working as a School Psychologist on the beautiful west coast of Newfoundland. When I'm not working, I love staying active through cycling, running, skiing, and playing sports. Traveling is another passion of mine, and I enjoy exploring new places and cultures.

Why did you decide to become a School Psychologist? 

I’ve always been interested in psychology and most of my previous jobs involved working with youth and families. Pursuing a career in school psychology felt like a natural fit.

What do you love about being a School Psychologist?

There are always new challenges and opportunities to make a difference. I really enjoy collaborating with school staff and families to help students overcome obstacles.

I enjoy reading research articles, the NASP resources, and listening to school psychology related podcasts when driving between schools.
