Robert Hiscock (Communications & Administrative Duties)
I’m the Co-Communications member of the NLTA’s Psychologist in Education (PIE) Special Interest Council.
I’ve worked in schools for nearly 25 years. I started my career as a science teacher in the small island community of Gaultois, then worked as a guidance counsellor in central Newfoundland. I’ve spent the majority of my career as a registered psychologist serving communities on Newfoundland’s northeast coast. It’s been a fantastic job – I’ve worked with so many great students, families and teachers.
When I’m not working as a psychologist, I spend my time with my two enthusiastic Labrador retrievers. Together we travel around the province having adventures and taking pictures of the amazing scenery along the way. We meet lots of people and hear many stories that become fuel for my other passion – sharing the ‘strange truths and tall tales’ of Newfoundland and Labrador via my blog and podcast.
